Live Music
Production
Some of the best producers in the world contract out for
live
music production. I have done this
a couple of times. It's called "Work For Hire".
From time to time I need a bass line to
be extra funky. something that is impossible to do with a midi
controller of a professional music keyboard.
I may need an acoustic guitar riff that glides across the
track with crazy pedal effects.
These things can only be accomplished by a musician that has
practiced his instrument for years.
In that case I simply contract them out or hire them for
work on my song. It's still my track and yes I'm still the
producer with all the credits.
What we are doing here is just a small barter. There talent
for money. Sometimes the beat is so simple they may get paid
$250 just to play a 4 bar riff.
The great thing for me is it's Royalty Free Music at the end
of the day. The audio production is simply a digital mix away
from being mastered after I finish my track building.
It's not copyright free but you get my point here. Live
production of music will liven up your track and make the punch
much more powerful.
I simply slide on my director hat and ask them to play my
arrangement off my board or computer.
A true emusician with a talent for making money. Welcome to
the future of music.
