Recording
Software Guitar
Okay so you have been playing your guitar
for years and now you want to record yourself with a software.
So what do you choose with so many brands out there?
The leading competitors on the marker are cakewalk sonar and
of course Steinberg's Cubase.
However, I want to make a personal recommendation for
Apple's Garage Band. If I were you I would save my money and
buy a macbook or iMac ASAP.
Apple has figured this thing out and they really know what
they are doing. If you go with a PC you are going to have to
have an external soundcard to control latency
problems and you will need to select one of the many recording
softwares. If you get it wrong you will be upset.
Make It Easy On Yourself
With a Mac all the work has been done for you literally. I
make crazy money in this music industry and I will never be
without a macbook for recording or producing tracks.
Do your research and read up on some soundcard reviews and
browse through the guitar effect pedals. All this will be
important especially if you plan on songwriting for a
living.
Look Into Some Digital Assistance
I would also explore with guitar loops and
tuners which will be harder with pc recording by the way.
Unless you are a pro make sure you download some tablature
that will help perfect your gift of playing 6 and 12 string
guitars.
Lastly I would like to say that acoustic is the way to go
especially if you have propellerhead reason
software for their electric guitar sounds and
preamps.
